Alaskan Etched Harpoon Head with Basalt Point

JG01) This authentic hand-carved ancient Alaskan Eskimo bone harpoon head (4-7/8” x 5/8” x 3/8”) chipped basalt point (1 5/8” x 15/16” x 1/8”) were found together along the coast of Alaska and is from the Jim Gannaway Collection. He acquired most of his Eskimo artifacts between 1960 and 1990 through purchases from Alaskan First Nations. G-10 Grade on this Artifact.  $450.00 US

ITEM #AA0403 Various Stone Tools

JG07) Spectacular 5 3/16” x 13/16” x 7/16” ground Stone Pendant or tool? Very highly polished and ground artifact found along the coast of Alaska and is from the Jim Gannaway Collection. He acquired most of his Eskimo artifacts between 1960 and 1990 through purchases from Alaskan First Nations. G-10 Grade on this Artifact.  $400.00 US

JG08) Very nice 3 1/2” x 1 1/16” x 7/16” greenish blue Alaskan late paleo Chert chipped Awl or engraving tool. Looks a lot like a worked down Type II Haskett!! Very highly polished and well used artifact with heavily ground edges. Looks to have some base and tip use damage but still a G-8 for the type I believe. This was also found along the coast of Alaska and is from the Jim Gannaway Collection. He acquired most of his Eskimo artifacts between 1960 and 1990 through purchases from Alaskan First Nations. $150.00 US

JG09) Very nice 2 3/4” x 7/8” x 3/8” basalt point. This look Paleo to me and has very unique flaking  with a ground down tip! Very high use polish on this as well. Good patination. G-7+ for the type as it has a very small nick in the base from ancient times. I believe. This was also found along the coast of Alaska and is from the Jim Gannaway Collection. He acquired most of his Eskimo artifacts between 1960 and 1990 through purchases from Alaskan First Nations.  Sold!

JG010) Very nice 1 3/4” x 1 1/4” x 3/16” greenish black chert chipped point. Looks to me like the base may have been snapped but it may very well have been made that way for use with a Harpoon. Very highly polished and well used artifact with heavily ground base sides. This was also found along the coast of Alaska and is from the Jim Gannaway Collection. Sold!
